Project Portfolio

Public School 69

InsideSchools.org says that PS 69’s “Unique architecture and colorful building create an inviting atmosphere for children”. We agree. For this project we used Morin's X12 Concealed Fastener Wall Panel. Architects: Cleveland Adams with Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer Associates.

PS 69

Providing light and space

When PS 69 opened in 2002, The New York Times Sunday real estate section wrote about its unique architecture and likened the facade to a “quarter wheel of cheese.” One thing is for sure: the building, filled with color and light, and interesting nooks and crannies, certainly doesn’t fit the stereotype of the somber New York City public school. “I love the building,” Principal Maria Bromme told us. “It’s a very stimulating environment to learn. Kids are happy and that’s what school should be about.”
