PS 115 The Daniel Mucatel School

PS 115 (East 92nd Street & Ave. M, Brooklyn, NY) is an elementary school occupying a full square block in the Carnarsie section of Brooklyn. The physical plant of the school feels more like a complex because of the new, modern wing that was built in 2003. The school holds more than 1,200 students and offers an impressive array of facilities. There are two dance studios, two art rooms (one equipped with a kiln) a gym, math lab, science lab, computer rooms, a music room, and a window-lined bridge linking the old and new sections of the school.

The footbridge is designed to look like elevated subway trains. Metal panels were chosen for their flexibility and durability, as well as how well they matched the intent of the design. We were selected for this project because of our expertise in installing metal panel systems.

The exterior is Morin Y-29 Exposed Fastener Wall Panel in Banner Red. Morin's products provide creative options that allowed us to achieve the look of the train and meet all of the project's requirements for durability.
